Why I Love Patagonia And Their 30% Off Sale!

Patagonia is a brand I absolutely love and I will tell you why: 

(1) Patagonia makes high quality clothes.  My husband has beat to hell his Patagonia fleece and it still looks great;
(2) Patagonia makes high performance clothes.  I can't think of another active/adventure brand out there more on the cutting edge of technology for their clothes;
(3) Patagonia has a great return policy.  They accept returns whether you have a receipt or the merchandise has tags or no tags;
(4) Patagonia stands behind their stuff.  They will refund your money YEARS after you have bought and worn something if you are unsatisfied with the item (but watch your karma here!  Don't get greedy and try to get your money back when you have fully used the clothing!!); and
(5) Patagonia is one of the more environmentally friendly companies out there, so by supporting them, you can feel good about yourself :-)!

Patagonia's summer sale is going on now through July 27th.  Most items are marked down 30%.  If you are lucky enough to live in a city that has a Patagonia retail store, you are likely to find better deals in the store than on the web.  But for those of you like me, who don't live near a Patagonia store, here are a few items available online to consider:

Patagonia has several summer hats on sale I really like.  I saw a girl wearing this cadet hat on the beach the other day and it looked super cool on her.  Originally $29, it is marked down to $20.

I also really like this bucket hat.  It comes in four different colors and has 50+SPF protection.  It's made from fast-drying nylon and rolls into is own pocket!  It is now $27 (originally $39). 

This visor is made with moisture-wicking Coolmax.  It is perfect for tennis, long runs, or a day at the beach!  It is marked down to $13 from $20.

Although it is called their "summer sale", there are some good buys for fall and winter, especially for the little ones.  I love Patagonia fleeces for the kids, especially babies.  This baby synchilla cardigan, available in three different colors, is marked down to $38.50 from $55.

I also love their baby capilene set.  It is great for fall hikes and winter days spent in the snow.  The bodysuit has adjustable snaps, extending the life of these on the babies and toddlers.  Originally $50, the set is marked down to $35.

I think this Sunshine Hoody, available for girls and boys, is such a versatile piece.  You can use it to layer, as a light jacket, or as a beach coverup.  It is perfect for cool fall mornings and evenings.  Originally $39, it is marked down to $27.  Here's the girl version:

Patagonia also has a ton of different jackets, fleeces, and shirts on sale for men.  Since they have a great return policy, you might pick up a few things for the husband or boyfriend for Christmas now.
