Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Nordstrom is currently having their anniversary sale now through August 1st and there are some very good buys for fall to consider.  I am a big fan of this sale because rather than having to wait until late fall/early winter to score some great clothes marked down, you can do it now and head into the season feeling excited you have a few new things to wear!  I am going to feature a few good deals from their shop department because we all know no one has a better shoe selection than Nordstrom's :-).

If you didn't get a pair of riding boots last year, now is the time to snap these up so you are prepared for the first hint of fall weather!  I think Frye makes absolutely beautiful boots and was really excited to see Nordstrom had a few pairs featured in their anniversary sale.  The price point is still more than I like to pay but these boots are really well-made and, in my opinion, really stand out from the rest.  Here are two to consider:

Nordstrom also has 2 different styles of UGG boots on sale.  I keep thinking people are going to tire of UGGs, but they just continue in popularity.   I feel obligated to make sure you are aware of the two styles on sale since UGGs rarely get marked down and by the time they do get marked down, generally the only colors left are the undesirables.  So here are two to consider, both are now $110 (originally $160 & $180)  and come in grey, black, chestnut, or stucco.  And don't let the chestnut color dissuade you from looking at the Roslynn boot.  The black and grey color are much better looking.

And I must also mention a few back-to-school shoes for kids that are part of the sale.  I love these stride rite kicks for toddler boys that are on sale for $25 from $38.

I also like these New Balance shoes that come in toddler, little boy and big boy sizes.  Originally $50, they are marked down to $33.

If you live in a place that gets a lot of snow and/or rain, I think these Bogs boots are the absolute best waterproof boots for kids.  They are easy to put on, look great, and very warm.  They are available in toddler, little kid, and big kid sizes.  They are marked down to $43 from $65.  Here's the two girl versions:

Nordstrom only offers free shipping for purchases over $200.  If your purchase is less than $200, the standard shipping rate is $8.  You can return online orders to a Nordstrom store or return via the prepaid label for $6.
